Carlos Newton

Carlos Newton and GSP have many similarities. both from Canada, both orally, they soft, never speak ill of PPL as Hughes, and they are world class fighter. they fought both matte and dominate, and can beat Matt at any time.
currently not in the UFC welterweight division, including Hughes can beat GSP, and the ronin, Carlos Newton back to the UFC and beat the hell of GSP?

No, he would never do well. Not because he did not have what it takes, but because he is studying to become a neurologist (not sure if I spell correctly brain surgeon). The medical school is extremely stressful and eat your time like crazy. So it will be a huge turn away from him.

Edit: To the idiot who say the school of medicine will always be there. Newton make a wise move, he left while still in his health. Clearly you've never been a combatant. This is not all that glamorous and easy as you think. I'm sure Newton will carry at least a couple with him pain for the rest of his life. Then he made a good decision.

Nope. You can not go to medical school and fight in the UFC at the same time. It has done this before and it failed him.

Besides, he has coached for the IFL yet. It is also sceduled fight against Renzo Gracie (I think) in December.

GSP Hughes in the octagon badmouthed, just after a fight Hughes. If Newton dominates Hughes, why did he lose? Why did he not get a rematch? GSP is the only one who has ever dominated Hughes and Newton could not beat GSP. If Newton could beat Hughes, why does not he?

Very good it is in medical school, but it will always be there when he retires. Newton essentially stop the fighting.
