Tourist guide of the town of Harrogate Harrogate is a town in North Yorkshire, with a population of 85,000 people. The town became a fashionable spa town in the sixteenth century, attracting masses of tourism and industry, and many still visit today to the baths and the historical monuments. Other than monuments and museums created to study and report on the industrial history of the city, there are many castles and historic battlefields that make interesting historical visits.
Harrogate is home to 33 restaurants recommended by Good Restaurant Guide, and a network of pubs, wine bars and upmarket pubs. There are also a variety of nightclubs and club nights, which for a lively nightlife in the city center. Shopping centers are numerous, with many of them inside the city and is not outside the box, malls. Much of downtown is old and elegant, with lots to see and do.
History
The history of Harrogate back to the Roman period, when farming hamlets were located on the site. An agriculture and the textile industry was flourishing in the twelfth century, but the spring was discovered in the sixteenth century led to the development of the region in a way, a spa town booming. More wells were discovered later, and the original is still in the city center.

Galleries
Mercer Art Gallery is home to more than 2,000 pieces of nineteenth and twentieth century fine art, photography, sculpture and crafts, and consists of two separate galleries. The gallery regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and artistic events.
Gasgoine Gallery is an impressive private collection, including works by Picasso and Salvador Dali, and a large selection of works of glass. New exhibits are displayed all three works and all items are for sale.
The SMART Gallery exhibitions and sells original artwork, sculpture and ceramics and craft gallery McTague watercolors, oil paintings, prints of the twentieth century, and gender and decorative prints.
Theaters
Harrogate is home to one of the municipal theater venues, many young and most successful theater in the country.
The Harrogate Theatre is a listed building, opened in 1900, and comprising two rooms. Performance of large-scale touring productions, performances a night and 5 of his own production house, and there are movies presented on Monday night.
Harrogate International Centre is an office complex, conference facilities, exhibition hall on the hotel and theater, organizes a series of events and entertainment, including concerts, plays and festivals, a capacity of more than 2,000 people.

The Courtyard Restaurant serves contemporary British cuisine, and holds an AA Rosette. The restaurant is located in the former stables, and offers a choice of tables inside and outside. Sasso is an Italian restaurant, and another of the 33 restaurants currently recommended by Good Restaurant Guide.
Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and Restaurant serves seafood in a classic and unique surroundings, including a wine list includes wines and champagnes hand picked up from French vineyards.
Harrogate Branch of Wing Wah, traditional cuisine from the Far East, has two thematic levels, the "bright and modern contemporary Quiet Room 'on the ground, and the Oriental influence" on the second floor Traditional Blossom Room '.
