The music and theme songs of WWE I remember the beginnings of the fight good. At the time when the struggle really began to explode and take off his World Wrestling Federation (WWF) days. It was when Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage and Andre the Giant were wrestling. Gimmick wrestlers like Iron Sheik, Million Dollar Man and Nikolai Volkov were there too. There were different characters who stood out and everyone had a story to tell. And each of them came into the ring with the powerful and different theme music which made them easily identified and cheered or booed.
Hulk Hogan has perhaps the most famous fight songs with "Real American". According to info found on Wikipedia, Hogan originally used the song Eye of the Tiger survivor who was from the soundtrack of the movie Rocky. Hogan of course had a cameo in the movie Rocky 3. Hulk later started using the melody we all know, "Real American", performed by Rick Derringer. The song became synonymous with Hulkamania and fans everywhere continue to encourage her. Somehow fans can not help but feel goosebumps when that air is on, if they are in an arena or watching a WWE event at home. It is classic and timeless music we identify with a caption contest.
Other very famous pieces of WWE music have been used with the Macho Man Randy Savage and Ric Flair. These two themes are borrowed classical music entry which makes them even more recognizable. The Macho Man used the very famous music of Pomp and Circumstance, which is heard year after graduation ceremonies. Ric Flair uses the well-know Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 by Richard Strauss. The piece was inspired by a book by Friedrich Nietzsche and has also been used in Stanley Kubrick's 2001.
Over the years WWE has brought many more popular wrestlers, each with music and songs distinct theme. There's the famous entrance of Stone Cold Steve Austin, with glass shattering to start off the melody. This song Rock The famous entrance which includes the bravado and smooth funk even arrogant to the People's Champ. Without Undertaker's famous bell followed strange organ could be heard in a funeral home. John Cena is one of the few superstars to record his own music for use as an entrance theme. There are many others, including the current theme music for wrestlers like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Batista and Rey Mysterio ..
It's music that makes WWE just as good as the control action in the rings. The music pumps and fans ready for action. It also gives us an identification mark for each wrestler, just as symbolic as their finishing moves. WWE music will always live long after the end of career control.
