Judo Belt Ranks

Judo Belt RanksMartial Arts belt system

The belt ranking system used in the United States did not originate here. It originated in Japan, and was probably also schools of judo. It was believed only two belt colors at the time, a white belt and a black belt. The white belt was given to new students for their input early in the respective class karate. The black belt is only given to those with a high level of skills and have studied for many years. Apparently, in Japan, the two colored belt system was all that was used to designate rank for many years. Only in recent times has been the ranking system has changed the belt to add more colored belts. However, even today, there are some schools in Japan that continue to use the system with two belts.

The belt itself generally consists of an outer layer of cotton with a stick inside polyester and seams to give shape to the waist. Apart from using the traditional cotton lining Belt, an outer layer may also be made of a polyester fabric. Another type of belt used in martial arts, although limited to only Chinese style, is the frame that is worn around the waist and comes in the same variety of colors. It is a sweet soft satin or rayon material similar to a scarf around his neck.

The color of the belt or belt are generally white, yellow, orange, purple, blue, green, red, brown and black. Usually they go in this sequence. In colors as ranked Middle Belt can vary as it uses a particular style. Thus, instead of being yellow purple after they can go to blue. Both ends early and late white and black are never changed. Each system of martial art has its own level of competence assigned to each color. While, in general, no two styles using the same color for designating the level of competence of the respective student.

The other part of the martial arts belt system is money. Not only the colored belts display of skill levels, but there is also a monetary value associated with them. Usually for lower belts or lighter colors testing costs are smaller than when you approach the more advanced belts or darker colors. Essentially for each test strip for you there are costs involved for the procedure. For belts reduce costs are generally lower and the placement test you for expenses generally increase. There are some forms and techniques required for each belt level. Thus, when a student has reached the maximum skill Belt particular, they are tested, which is a series of measures if done alone, without another fighter is called kata. If the movements are facing an opponent it is called kumite or sparring. How they play in this phase determines if they are deemed competent to proceed to the next belt level. As mentioned previously, the cost for testing generally increases when you reach the advanced level. Levels of play are generally above green or blue color belt. The actual costs help the karate school with his generals and to pay for time instructors and equipment for the test itself.

It is generally true that the more time spent in the study of martial arts, the highest in the ranking of the belt, which is the color of your belt. This is the traditional method of showing the efforts made in the study of the particular martial art, with the accomplishment of being awarded a black belt in the ultimate honor. It is similar to being given a medal to other sporting events as evidence of their successful completion. There will always be the epitome of martial arts
