Kimbo Slice Upcoming Fight

Personally, I think it will give people a bad taste about the MMA mainly because Kimbo Slice is a bum and his opponents are even worse!

I do not think MMA will be ruined because of the Kimbo fight. And although many feel EliteXC is lame, I just wanted to point out that: 1) they at least are not afraid of having women matches on the card, 2) they have at least one event 3 or 4 "deal" with CBS, cards for the future are one thing is sure, and 3) they have not only fighters Kimbo "size" contracted. Have you seen one of Cung Le, for example? I hope he will lead one of the cards coming from CBS that people can see what a real artist can do MMA. I guess it is not on this "first CBS card" because he just finished a big match against the champion and legend Frank Shamrock, breaking the arm of Frank in the process.

I agree with just about everyone that Kimbo had no chance if he opposes MMA submission specialist cons true. But people like to see a good "demolish" and perhaps those who know MMA will enjoy seeing what Kimbo has to offer this weekend.

I can only hope they come back again if and when EliteXC puts in place another card on CBS, starring the likes of someone like Cung Le.

Not Kimbo Slice in itself, but perhaps the Elite XC.

Elite XC is losing money by the millions and sold on the network in a last attempt to stay afloat. They instructed their list with figures because they dont have the Tallent for viewers.

Some people take this "ruining MMA thing a bit literally. It does not bankrupt the giants of the UFC, IFL, Strikeforce, but if it disrupts the public's perception of what is MMA, you can see real kiss fighers like Penn, Silva, Rampage, Franklin, GSP and Hughes on the again Saturday night network TV special because Elite XC ruined.

Kimbo fight on CBS against open the flood gates to every geek, nerd, shower bag there. Other companies will see the success, and soon you will see the UFC on Fox or other union.

This will ruin MMA inveitably by saturation of the market and the horrible programming and marketing.

Kimbos no worse than BJ Penn's current and licking the blood on the face of Sean Sherk. Most of us know hes not a fighter of high level and still have no idea if the guys a bum or not. The fact that hes a guy that looks scary in there
just out of jail isn't going to hurt MMA, cage fighting is not talking about dancing with the stars.

MMA Kimbo has not ruined far is it? A man can not bring down the whole sport. No, he does not fight the best talent. It might not always. It can never be a top heavyweight. He fights who they put in front of him. He has not publicly disrespect any fighter who has not been disrespectful to him. It was not covering the costs of steroids or weed as some of our other MMA hero. It is training, combat, and earn a living, and this makes some of us out there jealous, hell, im jealous. If he loses, he will still be part of a historic night for MMA, and his name will go out to hundreds of thousands of people. And yet he gets paid. Let it go already. If BET Iron Ring MMA has'nt killed over the last 12 weeks, I doubt Kimbo can do much damage in one night.
