Kwon Martial Arts

Kwon Martial ArtsWhy do some people in other martial arts always bash on Tae Kwon Do?

Of all the trash talk I've heard of other martial arts Tae Kwon Do seems to return the most. I practiced the art for almost 3 years and I think it is an awesome martial art.

It is due to ignorance. I learned Taekwondo for almost a year and a half, and I'm not a black belt! In fact, I am only doing my rank second this weekend.

Most people think that Taekwondo does that flashy flying kicks. This is not true. Although not involve complex Taekwondo kicks, they all have a practical application. For example, a flying side piercing shot may be used to strike an opponent bigger than you, in the solar plexus or throat.

In fact, the use of Taekwondo techniques of hand innumerable. There are hundreds of different blocks, and robbery as the punches before, hitting the fingertips, strikes and elbow strikes knifehand.

While many Dojang Taekwondo are "factories" belt, you find that there are still many honest dojang around.

Taekwondo is probably the most criticized because it is so well known. People seem to forget to complain about defects in other martial arts: Shotokan Karate is (if you think about it) too rigid to be of any practical way, many styles of Kung Fu are guilty of using "flashy kicks" and, Judo is useless if your attacker is armed with a knife because you get closer to take a shot. No martial art is complete, or perfect.

The denigration comes from people who just see the side McDojo tae kwon do. It is a martial art popular with many followers. Unfortunately, there are many schools out there that are black belts after a very small amount of time invested. This is a recipe for disaster. A seasoned black belt their head went to them in combat. However, the opinion of TKD is tarnished.

More McDojos pop up and happen more often. Then, point sparring tournaments make us like we're dancing. Karate her. But you just hear about tae kwon do, because more people practice the art.

Very few schools, like ours contact practice, complete tournaments. We also teach Judo, Ju Jitsu and Hapkido. Because we know that TKD is a little weak in the practical aspect of the defense. Now we have a well rounded background. We ATK to attack and cardiovascular work, and we have a ground and stand up defense. Not many other schools have the ability to think outside the box. They tell students that TKD is the best and they are invincible. Students learn the hard way. Then other martial artists laugh and say "TKD sucks".

So thank you to search McDojos dollar to give TKD a bad name. Thank you a slap in the art and dance "shot for our tournaments. The only way for other martial artists to take you seriously when you say you are in tae kwon do is to let you know. Not art. A few bad examples make it difficult for the good to get noticed, or thought.

Well, I think the reason is because there a particular martial art integrated. It is the martial art is known by the majority of the population in general. This fact (of course) is not Tae Kwon Do any better or worse to learn, but some people prefer to learn the lesser known arts like karate or Akido.

Most people boast of these martial arts because it makes them look smart.

For example: If you learn Tae Kwon Do and you are talking about it, the person would have heard of him, whereas if you were talking or Akido Karate Shotokan name would automatically raise questions.

Some people believe that Tae Kwon Do is a martial art was sold out, but at the end of the day which is not a reason to stop training (because you can use to launch their butts anyway: ^))

The smear is mainly the cause of TK.
