15yo girl who want to learn martial arts in Melbourne? Hello:) I know some form of mixed martial arts, perhaps with weapons too. I've never done martial arts before but I am very athletic. Wondering if there are clubs adapted to Melbourne or a specific style that I enjoy? :)
Thank you!
Well, I do not know of any studios around Melbourne, but Krav Maga is a martial art excellent. It's convenient, a great workout, and you really learn to defend yourself. : D give it a try. It is less of an Art * * it's just a defense system.
Do it, but MMA does not use weapons. It is a sport that can be used in a street fight, but it has its limits. You will not learn to fight against several opponents, and you do not know how Gard cons weapons.
YOU live in Melbourne! Then go to the headquarters of Wing Chun under William Cheung. I wish I was there. Wing Chun is great ..

Hey, this is my account and that mothers, but Im 15 years old guy living in Melbourne and I know about martial arts too. I like some of the answers here. Krav Maga is used by the Israeli army and win chun is ok too, but one thing I noticed from my experience in Karate Taekwondo is one, they are not practical (difficult to use in real life ) B, the results take a long time, and C, A lot of places have young teachers who are immature and under experienced. For this reason, I suggest Yamada Judo Academy Caulfield if you are close enough. Mr. Yamada is 7th dan black belt in judo and was taught by Toshiro Daigo, 10th Dan black belt. Toshiro Abe Ichiro equals and that other guy that I do not remember the name (sorry) that the number one in the world. Toshiro is like 85 now, I think. Mr. Yamada, who directs the Academy of Yamada Judo is a direct student of Toshiro and is 64 years. It is a brilliant teacher and the results come faster than most other places. The thing is judo throws and strangle holds locks / chokes. You really need to decide what you want to learn. Would you kicking and punching or comments? If you do not throw and has decided that the tenders are your thing, I would say Mr. Yamada. His dojo is located next to the recreation center and Caulfield is a man rather than nature once you get to know him. Students are also good. Many have participated in various competitions both before. This includes state championships and national championships. Remember, no matter where you go, make sure you are not taught by some selfish than 25 years. Experience is important. In addition, always train hard. You can not get results if you do not work for them. If you follow these two rules I'm sure you'll do just as well.
PS: If you want to find a mix of martial arts, I suggest taking a type of presentation of art such as judo or jiu-jitsu and striking example, an art of Wu Shu Kung Fu. (Better than winning chun I think, the stuff of his Jet Li and Jackie Chan do. Lol.)
Wu Shu also teaches weapons so I would really strongly suggest. (Come to realize that I forgot to mention that many students have won competitions. Noam Tidhar and Grace have won national championships.)
