New Wrestling Singlets

If you wear wrestling singlets medium should you wear smaller. It seems to be the new "thing" but I do not seem to know why. Seems pretty stupid, but say what you think.

When I wrestled in high school, I preferred a larger singlet because they are cowards and that means I can move much smaller freely.A singlet is tighter and restrict your ease of control.
