Are Ohio, Oregon, Michigan and Washington good pre-Med as public universities go? Because I'm not sure if I'm competitive enough for a college like Duke or North-West, and I just want to know if one of these schools could help me in my preparation for a career in medicine. I ask at Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Duke, and then those four that I posted in the question. I currently have a 2060 SAT, but I did it with no preparation, and I'll take the SAT again this October and I will take the class my school offers preparation Sat after school. I will also pass the SAT Subject Tests in biology, chemistry, mathematics and level II, if the scores should I aim to say?
Also, my cumulative GPA is 3.9 because I moved from Ohio to Washington during my sophomore year, and I faced this issue and the fact that my writing teacher made me catch on the value of an entire semester working in a period of about three months. I took three years of German, from Grade 8, but I want to move to the Spanish in college and I was always a year ahead in math, so I'll take AP Calculus AB this year. I took AP U.S. History as a sophomore and AP Euro as a junior and earned a 4 on both tests. I am also taking AP Biology and AP Chemistry in my last year this year with our version of honors history course required for seniors, Contemporary World / American issues, and I take Advanced Composition and advanced to the extent English literature goes. I fight for 5th year and I am a winner twice Varsity letter, placing 7th in the district as a sophomore and four as a junior, before catching the stomach flu the week Regional before. I also participate in our wrestling club in the spring, and I was a participant in the state tournament during my sophomore year and I hope I will again this year as a senior. I am also a member of the National Society of honors and I volunteer for a program called SibShops Snohomish County for children with disabled brothers and sisters, which raises awareness of disability of their brothers and sisters "and organizing activities for them to enjoy themselves, as our summer camp we did for two days the last two summers.
I do not know if these things will I compete with a major private universities, like Northwestern, Duke or Johns Hopkins, but it would be cool if I have any advice on this and my original question.
Ohio State not really, Oregon State's bad for pre med. Washington and Michigan are both good. Id suggest not only because Michigan is better academic school has a student life more intense, were in Washington is a commuter school.
So Michigan is one of the best schools in the country Med.
I live in Michigan, and I have about 6 friends who want to go to U of M for .... Pre-Med is a very good school.
