Recommendations for sparring shoes? I have been in martial arts more seriously than I have and I realized that this would be a good idea to get some gear off. If been looking through a lot of things but do not know what I want to get. I watched some adidas shoes, tae kwon do, but if they can offer protection to my feet, they do not look like they'll do a lot for my training partner. I want to find something that is a good way from my own protection and my sparring partner's. Of course, comfort is also a factor.
These are the best of the best when it comes to sparring shoes, you can even use them in most competitions.
You wear this kind of shoes when working on it when sparring in general. They are designed to help give you some room and support so that you do not always barefoot, which over a long period can cause such things as fallen arches, knee and ankle and lower back problems. The soles are such that you can even do a lot of spinning techniques without a lot of friction and stress resulting from a twist on the knee and ankle. I do not use them myself but started to teach most of my classes in running shoes twenty-five years ago with the idea of extending my martial arts career. I go through a decent set of cons-training or running shoes every eight to ten months and it makes a big difference when you are teaching several classes a day and teaching four to six days a week. People generally use them because they are so training and on their feet and it is easier for them to avoid some problems such as those above and continue training.
I have a pair of shin guards karate, going down over my feet, they provide little protection. But the best equipment at the foot of the IMO would not gear up for martial arts sparring. I mean if you're going to be martial artists should have to know how to take a hit: P.
Personally, I prefer gears P2 Century. I have a tendency to blow the elbows, and the extra 3 / 4 "of padding on the instep reduces goose eggs.
