Two Piece Wrestling Singlets

A jersey battle (or simply singlet) is a single piece, tight, uniform color, usually in spandex, lycra or nylon, used in amateur wrestling. The uniform is tight in order not to have accidentally entered an opponent, and allows the referee to see each wrestler's body clearly when awarding points or a pin. Unlike judo, it is illegal to enter the opponent's clothing in all styles of amateur wrestling.

Wrestlers competition outside of school (eg, in the international fight freestyle and Greco-Roman) providing a red and a blue jersey (or reversible singlet) and we were told before the game what color to wear.

Jerseys are also common among professional wrestlers. Many of them are much more stylized than those worn by fans, although the use of bathing in wrestling has declined over the past two decades.

A new style of jersey, known as a double, has recently emerged in the struggle over school which covers the upper body. Make Lycra material itself, this singlet has more than a t-shirt with the traditional thin singlet strap usually worn. This type of shirt is usually worn with shorts tight accompaniment. This style of jersey is currently permitted for college, but it is the report that some high school wrestlers use this style singlet at practice sessions.

Only with special permission of the wrestlers are allowed to wear a t-shirt under their jersey, mostly for health reasons involving excessive acne on the chest or back.

There are three different traditional "cuts" in the fight jerseys: high cut, the cut of the FILA and low-cut. The high cut covers most of the chest and reached up under arms on the side. The cut is like cutting FILA high, but does not rise as high under the arms. The low-cut singlet singlet is a developer, which allows a greater range of mobility, keeps its wearer cooler tends to be more comfortable when he's not on the carpet (wrestlers tend to wear their jerseys under their clothes almost every day in certain circumstances). For training or between matches, sanitary shorts are worn over the shirt. It seems to work primarily as a modesty cover for the fighter.
