Uniform Belts

Uniform BeltsWhy black belt karate uniform should be so long?

I do not know, but in the taekwondo belt is wrapped twice around the Wasit before being connected

Good question, I do not know. All I know is that you must have in a particular type of node.

This may be a silly response, but when a apponent is behind you, you can turn very fast and the WIP.

A long belt that your technique better. For example, when you make a rather weak position, a belt of time make it look even lower. This is the underlying theory anyway.

I do not answer Pugpaws2s had a lot of thought to enter, and many believe it is. Regarding the belts are long because of lack of stock, or the club has the right size. Is that really make sense? I think if you have been with a club for the years it took to win your Shodan they know your size or have ordered one of your size in advance. I agree with you that the name embroidered on the black belt is an influence on modern martial arts, but the Koreans gave their black belt ranking in advance Teakwondo or any other martial art has been sold.

The claims you have made with the uniform was an opinion without really too much back to support your idea. I thought you'd know why uniforms are sometimes too long or too short because if you took part in martial arts for so long. There are two types of uniform. Traditional and tournament. Traditional dogi (or those you claim are too high due to lack of stock) are long to highlight the movement and many martial arts as the "snap" sound it makes with the technique Fast Good. The Tournament Dogi other hand are very short. Sometimes, halfway up the shins and forearms. Tournament uniforms are more commonly used in Kumite in order not to get in the way and traditional kata. But I'm sure Pugpaws2 already new. Do not say that I lack knowledge when I am Shodan who seems to know more about the martial arts tradition and history as you like.

There are very uninformed answers here so far. There is no reason why the black belt must be long. In the 1960s and even before it is not very common to see long black belts. Since then, I noticed that the lengths of belt got slower. Sometimes it's because people get their belt their martial arts school. The school can not stock a full range of sizes. It is easier and less trouble for them to stock long strips. In this way, the belt will always be in need. If the belts of stock they short, they could be short for the big boys.

ADDED NOTE: The same thing happened to the uniforms. Many people are dressed in uniforms that are simply too long to bear. The trouser legs and sleeves are long for using appropriate techniques. They may think they look good, but beauty does not mean you can do things properly. How many times have you seen someone try to go it alone to have their heel caught in their pants, because it is too long. Those who work or weapons like the katana season quickly learn that long sleeves get in the way and limit your movements. Nothing worse than trying to return the ISC and have branches get stuck in your sleeve. It's also good to see someone go to draw a katana and eventually catch both the katana and the end of the belt at the same time. Could easily get you killed if the situation was real.

EDIT:

You mentioned putting monk_yarik writing style, name, etc. ... the belts. This is something that has not been done years ago. This is something that commercialism has done for the martial arts. In the 1960s only had names on belts or uniforms. Uniforms did not patch or maybe a patch style. Now everyone has Gi multicolored, tons of patches, and belts with their name, rank, style.
