Ways To Fight DepressionWhat are the best ways to fight against depression?

My depression is probably the only thing wrong with me that I consider the most side effects such as insomnia, loss of appetite, apathy, etc., Its actually common in cancer patients after many years. I wonder what I can do to control and im planning to take medication for that, I'd like some help with this

(There is a theory that some people suffer from leaky gut syndrome, wheat passes through the gut and the brain directly, acting as a drug, which can make you feel 'crazy' thoughts.)

Keep a food diary and note what triggers the onset of "terrible thought - it could be anything from wheat, dairy, eggs and oranges.

If you lack vitamin B, you may have the following symptoms: feeling unreal, hearing your own thoughts, anxiety and inner tension, inability to think clearly, Suspicion of people, good pain tolerance, see or hear things in an abnormal way, delirium and have frequent mood swings. Keep two journals. One to write all your feelings, it is good for clearing your anxieties and get your war on paper, you can delete it immediately afterwards if you need, it's just good to see what you really think stressful. And the other can be your gratitude journal - write down all the things you're grateful for that happened today.

Go to the Institute option! Here's the link: http://www.option.org/custom:single, 595
If you can not afford their programs, write to them and they can help you financially.

Discuss and seek all the people you can trust? Support services are usually free and usually leave no mark on the phonebill.

Best wishes.

Therapy or counseling is more effective than drugs IMO. The drugs do not treat the underlying emotional problems of depression.

If you have major depression - it is a chemical imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain. Medication can regulate and make progress on track. Many people do not have the right amount of serotonin and it makes them feel depressed. Antidepressants can help you. They take the time to work, such as 4-6 weeks to establish the appropriate level in your bloodstream.

So one way to fight against depression is to see a psychiatrist and find the best route to take to get a handle on this.
There are medications that help to sleep too, because it is very important to the function.
Do not isolate, and get out and be around other people is a way to fight against depression.
Exercise releases endorphins in the body that help to elevate your mood too.
involved in a project - doing things that are meaningful to you.
Help others - which makes you out to focus on yourself - and others.
Best wishes!

Hi Matthew, Just what I read here are good suggestions for you. I must say that before and if you are to recover, you must accept that this is part of who you are right now. We are not trying to fight, to remove, ignore or control Thi.
